3D ‘Virtual’ Modelling
Computer aided design has without doubt improved product performance and manufacturing efficiency and A&J are no strangers to this resource, with our own 3D modelling and drawing capability and regular use of disciplines such as finite element analysis.
3D modelling is particularly useful for multi-component fabrications or where our fabrication will need to fit to other plant and equipment as it gives us the ability to run a virtual check for conflicts or spatial interference.
In instances where fabrications have an element of mobility, such as our water treatement scrapers, this allows us to ensure that no clashes will occur, even at extremes of travel.
In many cases our fabrications have to be installed into existing structures or within existing plants, so the ability to manouvre and view components in 3 dimensions on screen is far preferable and far more cost-effective to encountering last-minute problems on-site.
