CFD Modelling

A&J Group are often asked to solve existing process and plant problems when designing new or replacement equipment. In order to be as accurate as possible in both assessing the causal factors behind existing issues and creating a design that will eliminate the problem without creating a different set of issues, we harness the power of modern computing technology – in particular Computational Fluid Dymanics (CFD) Modelling.

Whilst our powerful 3D design software allows us to study a design 'in the round' this is only the physical structure. In order to solve operational problems, we need to see how the physical structure affects and interacts with the medium passing through, over and around it. CFD modelling allows us to model the unseen behaviour of a fluid as it passes through a fabrication. Using this method we can identify the problem and make, often quite subtle, changes to a design until the problem is eliminated.

Through CFD modelling our customers are buying into a proven solution before any fabrication begins, safe in the knowledge that once the new fabrication is installed their process will more efficient and trouble-free.
