The company’s quality policy is in intended to enhance
the needs of A&J, its products/services and ensure
customer satisfaction. Our policy along with the quality
management system is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure
its continued suitability and to continually improve effectiveness.
Inspection of A&J’s products
and services is carried out by our full time works inspector
and welding engineer, additional surveillance visit are
often made by nominated third party inspection authorities
such as Lloyds, RSA etc.
All assembly and welding is carried out in our UK factories
to approved weld procedures and by qualified welders. Welds
are typically subjected to an on site radiographic examination
or other form of NDT in accordance with code and or customer
requirements to verify weld quality. In addition finished
pressure parts are subject to a hydrostatic pressure test
usually in the presence of a notified body.
A&J are registered as a pre
qualified vendor on the Utilities Vendor DataBase (UVDB)
for a variety of products and services to the Power Generation
and Water Utilities.
The wide rage of materials and
typical A&J products
will give some appreciation of the experience/skills required
and the need for rigorous quality control and traceability.

A&J and its staff are members
of a variety of institutes and associations including the
British Standards Institute, Engineering Industries Association,
Chartered Institute of Management, British Welding Institute,
and Federation of Small Businesses amongst others. Through
regular updated provided by these bodies the company keeps
up to date with the latest industry developments, industry
standards and other legislative requirements.
