Welding
All pressure part welding is carried out in accordance
with approved weld procedures and our qualified welders
provide the highest standards of welding as demanded
by pressure part products.
Our in house welding department provides all our
own weld procedures and we qualify our welders in
house.
Experience of materials includes Low carbon steels
such as SA192 to alloys ranging from chrome moly
alloys such as T11, T22 through to the latest intermediate
9% chrome, 1% moly, 1/4% vanadium alloys i.e. SA213-
T91.
A wide variety of stainless steels have been welded
including 304, 316, 410 and 253MA.
Other materials include Inconel® austenitic
nickel-chromium-iron alloys, Corten® and cast
materials.
In the preparation of weld procedures due consideration
is given to any required pre and post weld heat treatment
processes.
Welding processes include
TIG, MMA, MIG or Sub Arc. Specialist processes
for overlay welding of Inconel® and
wear resistant hard facing materials have also been
developed.
Procedures are produced in accordance with British/European
and ASME IX standards.For
